Kleinfelders Environmental team is looking for you From environmental planning, permitting, remediation, and site characterization to chemical data management and hydrogeology, Kleinfelder offers a variety of services designed to provide technically appropriate and cost-effective solutions.Step into Your New RoleKleinfelder has a great opportunity for a Civil / Environmental Senior Engineer primarily working a project in northeast New Jersey as well as other projects across the country. We are very flexible with remote work arrangements, so it is not necessary for the applicant to be in the office on a daily basis (flexibility is required for travel to a Kleinfelder office or client sites, as needed). The ideal candidate will thrive as a vital part of a resourceful and collaborative civil/environmental team, working across projects, markets and offices. The selected candidate will have the opportunity to grow into a technical leadership role.This position will help lead, inspire, and support our civil and environmental disciplines, and most importantly help grow our portfolio of work and clients across multiple geographies, but primarily based in New Jersey. Our civil/environmental team is a highly integrated group of professionals performing technical evaluations, planning, design, and construction.The role will include working in our team-oriented environment, primarily providing private sector clients with professional engineering services for civil/environmental projects, including studies, design, and construction administration.Specific expectations will include:Strong experience with the design and construction of remediation projects;Leading technical efforts for planning, studies, budgeting, technical management, coordination of multi-discipline engineering efforts, quality assurance, subcontract management and contract administration.Supervising staff, and subcontractors to successfully deliver technical projects and build/mentor staff in the group;Ability to effectively communicate remediation design concepts to clients, participating in project scoping activities and proposal presentations, and coordinating with clients to ensure an ongoing positive relationship; andEstablishing strong, productive internal collaborative relationships with senior management.Requirements:A minimum of fifteen (15) years of experience providing technical management of civil/environmental projects.B.S. in Civil, Mechanical, Environmental, or Chemical Engineering.Professional Engineering license with ability to obtain New Jersey license within 6 months of start date, if -depth knowledge of large/complex civil/environmental projects and experience coordinating the various engineering disciplines for successful project completion.A strong work ethic with excellent organizational, communication, computer and technical writing skills.Strong team building and communications skills.Solid written and verbal fluency in English.Move Forward with KleinfelderKleinfelder has been connecting great people to the best work since 1961.
