This includes conducting financial analyses, developing financial models, preparing reports and forecasts, and providing financial guidance to management. The financial analyst will work closely with various teams across the organization to identify and implement process improvements and cost-saving initiatives.Duties and ResponsibilitiesOverall responsibility for data entry into accounting/operating system and integrity of system dataPrepares monthly/quarterly/yearly financial reportsPrepare, analyze, and distribute P&L monthly to directors and branch managers at over 50 locationsOversee and review balance sheet in preparation for monthly balance sheet review with managementCreate budgets for overhead cost centers and review budgets from branch managers throughout the country, providing guidance if necessaryBuild and maintain various Excel templates and reports with the goal of creating efficiencies in the businessEfficiently manage and process financial requests from branches while meeting tight deadlinesduring the month-end closing periodSupport management with audits and ad hoc requestsEducational background / Work experienceBachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related fieldMaster's degree in finance or a related field preferred2-5 years of experience in financial analysis, preferably in the transportation and logistics industryExperience with financial modeling and analysis, forecasting, and budgetingExperience with ERP systems and financial reporting toolsSkills & CompetenciesStrong analytical skills and attention to detailAbility to synthesize complex data and information into clear and concise reports and presentationsExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teamsProficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial modeling and analysis toolsFamiliarity with ERP systems and financial reporting toolsComputer LiteracyProficient in Microsoft Excel and other financial modeling and analysis toolsProficient in ERP systems and financial reporting toolsFor this position, the expected base pay is: $62,500 - $84,500 / Annual.
