JOB TITLE Inventory Planning Manager DEPARTMENT Sales, Inventory and Operations Planning (SIOP) LOCATION Latham, NY COMPANY SUMMARY PIP Global Safety (PIP), a leader in global safety, is a global supplier and manufacturer of PPE products. JOB SUMMARY We are looking for an Inventory Manager who will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of inventory management, including planning, tracking, and optimizing inventory levels to ensure efficient operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, excellent organizational abilities, and a proven track record of implementing effective inventory control processes. The position is based in Latham, NY, with a hybrid schedule: in-office from Monday to Thursday, and remote or home office on Fridays. YOU ARE Customer Centric: You will analyze inventory levels, manage purchasing needs, and balance stock across multiple branches and distribution centers to meet customer needs. You will also ensure inventory aligns with sales targets and growth projections while leading demand planning and forecasting efforts. Effective Communicator: You will manage purchase orders with both domestic and international vendors, ensuring timely communication and accurate delivery estimates. You will also expedite orders to prevent stock outages and maintain up-to-date vendor pricing in the system. Passionate about Data & Analytics: You will prepare inventory reports, update product details in the ERP system, and provide recommendations for improving inventory management. You will also collaborate with the product management team to address sourcing, pricing, and quality issues, along with handling other ad-hoc tasks as needed. REQUIRED SKILLS FOR SUCCESS 5+ years of experience in supply chain with prior experience as a buyer/purchaser or analyst strongly preferred. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficient in inventory management software and Microsoft Excel. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
