OverviewThis is a hybrid role, with the expectation that time working will regularly take place inside and outside of a company office. The Chief Marketing Office is seeking a Business Consultant responsible for coordinating and executing risk mitigation activities across Marketing in partnership with the Front Line Management (FRM) Team. Reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer's Chief of Staff, this position requires strong leadership and project management expertise with experience managing multiple projects and critical deadlines across several teams. The ideal candidate should have working knowledge of Marketing operations to identify and escalate risks associated with Marketing activities and be responsible for driving consistent implementation of 1st line-of-defense risk management across the Marketing organization. The ideal candidate will assist the FRM team in driving awareness, risk perspective, risk accountability and risk culture throughout the organization. ResponsibilitiesBusiness Strategy - Evaluates current plans, processes, and requirements to identify factors negatively affecting the business unit. Develops expert strategies and solutions to address identified issues, coordinating business efforts to achieve success. Work with managers across Marketing to resolve risk issues as appropriate. Partner with the FRM team to assist in driving risk awareness, risk accountability and risk culture throughout all areas of Marketing.Governance & Execution - Partner with FRM, Compliance, Internal Audit, Legal, IT, Privacy, and other process owners to identify risks, maintain compliance standards, and mitigate risks domestically and internationally. Coordinate support for control testing and issue management. Develop and timely implement policies, procedures and controls designed to ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and risk management standards. Manage Marketing risk identification and remediation program for self-identified, internal and external issues in keeping with corporate tools and methodologies. Ensure adherence within the business to testing schedules to measure compliance with such policies, procedures, and controls. Coordinate and support process/control owners in maintenance of required compliance documentation as well as internal control practices. Ensure risk issues and corresponding action items are effectively tracked, remediated, and evidenced. Ensure risk management processes into policies, operating procedures, and standards.Leadership - Facilitate cross functional teams, facilitate project meetings, develop, and maintain project plans and manage/support solution implementations. Leads special projects, serving as a resource to wider business unit or organization. Utilizes expertise to provide guidance, feedback, and direction on complex matters. Assists in the communication of performance results and expected behaviors. Serve as the Business Continuity Plan Manager for the team, ensuring that plans are current, and exercises are executed as prescribed.Data Analysis - Sources, compiles, and interprets data. Performs complex data analysis, effectively communicating and directing analysis output. Oversee the execution of risk assessments in partnership with FRM. Oversee the translation of compliance risks into business requirements and assist on mitigation strategies and develop processes/workflows within Marketing to perform control monitoring (tracking of client endorsement, monthly testing of subscription center, etc.). QualificationsBachelor's Degree and 8 years of experience in Business Strategy, Project Planning, and Financial Services industry OR High School Diploma or GED and 12 years of experience in Business Strategy, Project Planning, and Financial Services industry Preferred Qualifications:10+ years of relevant marketing and/or risk management experienceKnowledge of SVB and First Citizens Bank marketing proceduresRisk management experience within bankingAbility to predict and proactively mitigate riskProven project management skills with the ability to motivate teams and drive performanceExperience preparing and presenting executive-level presentationsStrong interpersonal skills with evidence of working collaboratively across large, complex organizations, including effective influencing skills and a proactive approach to building consensus among complex, diverse groupsMaster's degree preferred The base pay for this position is generally between $133,304- $231,061 per year. Actual starting base pay will be determined based on skills, experience, location, and other non-discriminatory factors permitted by law. For some roles, total compensation may also include variable incentives, bonuses, benefits, and/or other awards as outlined in the offer of employment.First Citizens benefits programs are designed to meet our associates where they are in life.
