Qualifications and Job Description: Position will report to Distribution Manager and Distribution Safety Job role will be considered a Supervisor in Training. Work week will vary based on needs and staffing for the week. Typically (Sunday -Thursday) Start time will vary based on job goals. Position will require employee to work nights and weekends, and occasionally Holidays. Rotation on Saturday's scheduling Wegman's CDL Class A driver's license required. 5 Years delivery experience preferred. Strong understanding of Route logistics preferred. Job Duties of Coordinator: Responsible to train new Driver candidates, training timeline for new Drivers a minimum of two weeks. Responsible to conduct follow up training and corrective actions based on new Driver's job performance. Educate, and instruct new and current Drivers on proper methods to deliver UNC products. Educate new Drivers on all aspects related to Customer ticket transactions and required paperwork accounting systems. Educate new Driver trainees on how to interact with Customers. Educate New Driver trainees on product Rotation. Educate and teach trainees all expected job duties related to their assigned job or route. Coordinator will introduce new hires to plant and cooler operations and provide key contact names and phone numbers for Management teams. Coordinator is responsible to teach drivers and reinforce safe work practices. Provides training to current drivers on an ongoing basis (requires on the job training with drivers while deliveries are made). Coordinator is required to train new and current drivers on best business practices related to the Dairy industry. Coordinator must have advance knowledge and obey DOT law and regulations. Coordinator will conduct random driver audits; this includes working with drivers while on their routes observing job performance and providing relevant feedback to the driver as to how they performed during delivery and suggest areas to improve. Provide Route relief due to manpower shortages, vacations, or sickness. Help with Overload deliveries if needed due to staffing shortages. Learn key Daily Job duties of Route Supervisor. Substitute for Management due to vacations or illness Responsible to run needed reports especially computer reports to support daily Distribution operations. Coordinator will provide suggestions how to operate routes more effectively. Coordinator will review with drivers' proper Pre-trip and Post-trip truck inspection job duties. Coordinator will assist in onboarding new drivers. Responsible for developing Driver Route books for each route. Coordinator will be responsible to oversee and maintain accuracy for each route. Route Coordinator will assist in developing weekly Route schedules and manpower needs with Route Supervisor. Route Coordinator will work with Distribution team to improve scheduling. Coordinator must demonstrate ability to interact and cooperate with all Company Employees and departments. Provide timely feedback to Distribution Manager regarding driver job performance. Provide timely feedback to Distribution Manager regarding route logistics and areas to improve route efficiency. Coordinator will be required to learn route logistics, load balancing routes for larger account customer chains. Pay: $58,600-76,200 a year The salary range indicated in this posting represents the minimum and maximum of the salary range for this position. Actual salary will vary depending on factors including, but not limited to, budget available, prior experience, knowledge, skill and education as they relate to the position's qualifications, in addition to internal equity. The posted salary range reflects just one component of our total rewards package.
