Daycare Teacher

Overview Design and implement a daycare program for each assigned child in coordination with other members of the Early Childhood Education team, which will promote learning and a positive self-image. 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday, and follow our daycare calendar. Rate of pay is $17.50 and are fully benefits eligible. Responsibilities Plan and organize programs for children with special education teacher Provide individual and group instruction Provide a safe and caring environment Provide leadership and assign tasks to paraprofessionals in classroom, as applicable Effective communication as a member of the team, including participation in appropriate meetings Share the educational perspective on how to address children, meet with team Utilize problem-solving techniques to resolve differences and come to conclusion with team Understand and utilize perspectives and techniques of other team members in program design and daily activities Keep families fully informed of issues affecting their children and the program Promote open communication and mutual understanding Provide support and information that families need directly or by suing team members, other agency resources or community resources Contribute to a positive work and learning environment for children in program as well as co-workers- must be professional, courteous, and confidential Provide ideas and show initiative to help develop the educational setting Keep records of children's daily and overall progress including a report for the parent conferences Keep daily attendance records for all assigned children Attend training required by program regulations, including OCFS regulations, and as directed by supervisor Qualifications Associate degree in Early Childhood Education, Childhood Development, or related field OR Child Development Associate Credential (CDA) and 1 year related experience,OR 9 College credits in Early Childhood, Child Development or related field with a plan of study to get to CDA or Associate Degree and 2 years of experience related to caring for children Our approach to Diversity and Inclusion - 'A world where all people know they belong.'
