Description Plant Supervisor must have the management knowledge to coordinate, lead, understanding and supervise the daily production flow, cooler operations and plant sanitation activities. We currently have an opening on 3rd shift (12am-8am). Must have weekend and holiday availability. Job duties and responsibilities: Follows and maintains Safety - Security - Food Safety rules and regulations at all times. Follows and enforcing at all time GMP's. Walks through the Plant, insuring satisfactory work conditions, Safety-Security environment and timely finish of daily work requirements (finish-scheduled production, load-out, Sanitation and housekeeping duties). Complete all shift corrections and changes, especially product subs and load out issues. Responsible for employees breaks and lunches. Responsible for receiving and storage of all products into the cooler (warehouse). Responsible for communication with other Plants or customers. Maintaining the cleanliness of all-working areas (inside-outside). Completes daily proper shift paperwork. Checks load out activities and receiving products in the New Cooler. Responsible for the quality set up BI products for all routes. Responsible for the third shift employees training program, OT and their needs. Per the Plant QC manager's Master Sanitation Program and daily-weekly-monthly Sanitation work-duties schedule, responsible for Sanitation of the all Plant equipment, daily clean up of all production-storage areas (floors, walls, ceiling). Daily checks (especially Saturday) Production charts, CIP-titration , clean up procedures, cream temperature, raw milk silos and do swabs. Housekeeping: daily responsibility for cleanliness of the Pasteurizing room, Bottling room, BM, CD and the New Cooler. Responsible for daily jug-inventory and delivery jugs to Bflo. Daily communication with all Buffalo BI drivers. Attends scheduled monthly Safety-Security meeting. Must apply all HACCP principals. Organizing, leading and finishing any other duties assigned by: Superintendent, Cooler Manager or QC Manager. Qualifications: The minimum requirement is HS diploma (GED) but preferable is College degree. Must have the ability (knowledge) to manage, lead and communicate with 20-40 employees, check daily-finishing operations: production, load out, receiving and storage all products and strong Sanitation background. In addition must have ability to fill out routine paperwork (computers skill), force Safety-Security rules and Procedures, organizes work forces in the standard or the emergencies, performing timely finishing shift manuals. Knowledge and Experience: The Dairy experience and computer skills are preferable, otherwise he/she will be trained to know and perform all Company, State and Federal regulations pertaining to receiving, production, shipping and Sanitation of all Plant equipment. He/she must have a full understanding of Safety-Security regulations, Plant Sanitation regulations and procedures, GMP's, management functions with very good communication skills. Physical demands: The employee is regularly required to mostly walk (all shifts), use hands and fingers, specific vision ability to close distance, color and peripheral depth perception. Pay: $65k-$70k The salary range indicated in this posting represents the minimum and maximum of the salary range for this position. Actual salary will vary depending on factors including, but not limited to, budget available, prior experience, knowledge, skill and education as they relate to the position's qualifications, in addition to internal equity. The posted salary range reflects just one component of our total rewards package.
