We're always on the lookout for smart people who are committed to continuous improvement, customer service and quality.JOB DESCRIPTIONJOB TITLE: Paint Technician 1 FLSA STATUS: Non ExemptPaint Technician 2Paint Technician 3REPORTS TO: Supervisor, Manufacturing (Paint)SUMMARYPosition is responsible for changes, set-up, and maintenance of machine and equipment parameters. The Paint Tech must follow and maintain safety practices to ensure that self and other team members are working in a safe environment to prevent injuries. Responsible for assuring that all machines and equipment are properly functioning. Interfaces with purchasing, shipping, receiving, molding, finishing, engineering, and quality assurance to assure products are produced in a timely and cost effective manner.RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIESPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:Must be physically capable of walking for the entire work shift.Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly.Repeated bending and lifting during the shift.Must be able to wear steel-toe footwear.Ability to work from heights with proper PPERESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:Under administrative direction and general supervision for the following major tasks:Assists in supervising and managing shift and training of operators and utilities.Serves as acting Supervisor when Supervisor is absentAssists in coordinating work flow throughout departmentAdjusts, PM's, and monitors machines to assure product controlCoordinates and advises product and production problems and changes with peers on other shiftsProvides technical expertise and collaborates with other departments as necessary to assure quality, productivity, and inspection procedures meet with department and shift needsParticipates in company programs such as communications, job training, plies with all applicable rules and regulations of the companySets, troubleshoots, and adjusts all paint and secondary plete all applicable reportsCompletes process set-up verifications and changes to insure that product meets design intent and customer specificationsInsures that all daily process checks are completed accuratelyUses a variety of tools to perform machine set-up and troubleshooting including mixing paint, pad-a-print, hot stamp.SPC charting of color and gloss reading from paint samples or molded parts.Repair and rebuild paint guns and paint racks as neededMeasures and complies with environmental health and safety systemMonitors housekeeping and maintains good housekeepingPerforms other duties as required or directedEnsures communcaiton of any changes to process is documented on OIS and training is complete.Functions as utility for the paint plete Paint Tech Level 1 training within 7 days of starting the plete Paint Tech Level 2 training within 90 days of starting the plete Paint Tech Level 3 training within 180 days of starting the job.EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCEOne year work-related experience, and successful completion of all related training courses or be willing to enroll in next available class.
