Essential Duties/Responsibilities : Project Accounting and Capital Expenditures Create, update and close projects and finalize fixed assets accordingly. Review, release purchase orders as part of capital expenditure workflow. Coordinate and collaborate with project managers and sales support on reimbursed expenses. Complete month end journal entries and analysis in accordance with monthly close schedule: depreciation, fixed asset roll forward, disposals and retirements. Prepare monthly financial reports for GT management. Interpret and analyze a broad range of financial data and recommend actions to be taken. Responsible for project accounting management ensuring postings, allocations, and procedures are in line with standards. Participate in the annual budget process, including preparing budget variance reports and forecasts. Collaborate, develop, implement best practices to ensure compliance with organizational standards with other functions. Perform accounting and technical compliance research and assist with implementing any new accounting pronouncements that are applicable to Company. Participating in and contributing to cross-functional development teams to address strategic plans, objectives, and issues for the organization. Work on special projects and other duties as assigned. General Accounting Prepare account analyses for assigned accounts, review and process required GL postings, create recurring journal entries and prepare year-end audit schedules with supporting documentation. Assist in developing improved documented policies, procedures & processes to facilitate efficiencies and communication to global finance team where appropriate. Perform monthly, quarterly and annual accounting activities including coordination and completion of annual audits and reviewing financial reports/support as necessary. Apply professional judgment in the application of accounting skills and techniques in solving simple to complex problems. Work on special accounting projects and other accounting duties as assigned. Required Minimum Qualifications Education/Certifications: BS Degree in Accounting required. Skills and Experience: A minimum of 4 years /accounting / finance experience, with working knowledge of project management and fixed assets. Preference given to candidates who have worked in a manufacturing environment and/or Public Accounting roles. Ability to effectively partner with managers across all levels in the organization required. SAP experience a plus.
