This facility operates seven days a week and produces Philly Style Beef and Chicken Steak.Position Description: POSITION SUMMARY:Maintenance Mechanics perform skilled work in the operation, predictive and preventative maintenance and repair of the facility's real property, power industrial trucks, and plant utility systems.RESPONSIBILITIES:Include, but are not limited to, the following:The frequency of the following activities may vary according to the requirements of the job task assigned.Follows all company personnel safety, food safety, attendance, GMP policiesProactive in the daily plant operations as well as set up and/or breakdownWork to maximize plant efficiencies, reduce costs, and maintain product qualityCompletes daily log sheets, communicates effectively, and is proactive in recognizing and reporting unsafe conditions and/or other mechanical concernsAssist in maintaining a relevant and accurate mechanical inventoryAccurately and consistently change out partsLubrication, conveyor belt repairs, power train & bearing maintenance, motor and gearbox replacement, fork truck & pallet jack maintenanceMaintain, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical and electrical equipment in a timely mannerREQUIREMENTS:Able to work effectively under time constraintsAble to use measurement devicesAble to perform electrical and mechanical predictive and preventative maintenance as taskedAble to work a flexible schedule if needed in a cold, wet, humid environment with temperatures ranging from 35 to 50 degreesMust be able to work overtime and/or weekends as neededMust have a minimum of (3) years of mechanic work experience or be graduate of an industrial maintenance training program.While performing the duties of this job, the associate is required to stand, sit and use hands and fingers to handle or feel 67-100% of the time. The associate is required to walk, talk and hear 67-100% of the time. The associate must be able to taste or smell 0-33% of the time. The associate must lift and/or move up to 45 lbs. 67-100% of the time, 50 lbs. 33-67% of the time and 100 lbs. 0-33% of the time. They must be able to push/pull 300 lbs. 33-67% of the time. The associate is required to ascend and descend stairs 67-100% of the time.
