Services will focus on producing estimates of orbital properties of eclipsing binaries observed with the Transiting Exoplanet Survey Satellite. A successful candidate will be in charge of determining orbital eccentricities and periastron arguments for all discovered TESS eclipsing binary stars. The TESS light curve analyst will produce a computational model of NASA's Transiting Exoplanet Survey Satellite TESS field and the census of eclipsing binary stars to determine their orbital eccentricities and arguments of periastra. The result of this work will be used to expand the catalog of TESS binaries hosted by Villanova at - The work will be disseminated in the peer-reviewed literature. The analyst will provide weekly progress reports to the Principal Investigator of the grant and the two will meet regularly throughout the course of the project. The analyst will work both at Villanova and remotely. Active graduate student enrolled in a PhD program in Astrophysics. Villanova is a Catholic university sponsored by the Augustinian order.
