We have an exciting opportunity for a Warehouse Compliance Specialist who would be instrumental in ensuring smooth operations of our warehouse storage, and inventory controls on a daily basis. Located at our Chicago, IL facility. Key Responsibilities: Perform daily inventory cycle counts and reconciliation of any discrepancy Audit freight locations against warehouse layout versus cycle count Assist with relocation of cargo out of scope Complete Dangerous Goods checks to verify if the cargo is ready for air transport and meets quality control specifications Analyze and assist with development of warehouse export area to assist in maintaining established procedures and regulations within its defined area Oversee ULD inventory control with the airlines Check, document and communicate dwelling of cargo to cargo owners (export/import) Resolve recurring issues and suggest enhancements related to warehouse work methods focusing on promoting efficiency, faster inventory controls and lower costs Maintain information in computerized systems such as logs, invoices, orders/receipts and generate documents Administrative duties as assigned to assist with inventory cycle controls Perform other duties as assigned Position Title: Warehouse Compliance Specialist - Chicago, IL Job Category: Warehouse Minimum Education Required: High School/GED City: Chicago Additional Qualifications/Responsibilities: Skills / Requirements: Warehousing experience - Minimum 1 year operations experience in a freight forwarding or international shipping environment Successfully pass Dangerous Goods certification to perform DG checks Strong analytical, data analysis, and problem solving skills"‹ Inventory management, inventory control a plus Project work/management a plus Strong communication capabilities, both written and verbal Proficient computer skills: MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)"‹ LOGIS or Cargo Wise systems knowledge is a plus Ability to recognize process deviations and propose corrective actions Physical Demands/Working Environment: Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs.
