JMT, is currently ranked #61 on Engineering News-Record's list of the Top 500 Design Firms.JMT's Trenton Construction Management team is seeking an Inspector II to apply standard inspection procedures to ongoing activities during and after construction for structural quality, general safety and conformance to plans, specifications and codes.Essential Functions and ResponsibilitiesReview and interpret plans, site layouts, specifications and construction methods to ensure compliance to legal requirements and safety regulationsPerforms routine tests on concreate, soils and other materialsMeasure dimensions and verify level, alignment, and elevation of structures, fixtures, grades and/or pavement to ensure compliance to plans and codesGathers and maintains record documentsMakes field notes and computationsNonessential Functions and ResponsibilitiesPerform other related duties as assigned Required Skills Strong organization and communication skills Required Experience NICET IIAssociate's or Bachelor or Construction Technology or Construction Management degree2 -5 years of construction inspection experienceClient requested certifications (NJSAT, ACI, TCC, OSHA)Knowledge and experience in construction techniques, reading plans, procedures, methods, equipment and materialsActive driver's licenseExperience in construction management/inspection situationsPreferred ExperienceExperience with NJTA, NJDOT and local clientsAssociates or bachelor's degree in construction management or civil EngineeringWorking ConditionsWork is performed in the field. Ability to extensively perform bending, kneeling, standing, shoveling, and lifting and carrying objects weighing up to 25 lbs as needed.
