Due to the critical nature of this position to provide services to children, EBCAP is offering a two-step sign-on bonus totaling $1000 for external applicants. East Bay Community Action Program (EBCAP) is seeking a Teacher Aide to join our team and provide a nurturing and safe classroom environment for children in the Early Head Start program in Newport, Riverside, and Warren. Work with the classroom team to support children with identified behavioral and/or developmental needs. Using the Head Start Program Performance Standards, Rhode Island Child Day Care Center Regulations for Licensing, East Bay Community Action Program (EBCAP) Head Start/Early HeadStart Program Plan, The Creative Curriculum and developmentally appropriate practices (DAP) as defined by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC), The Incredible Years Teaching Strategies and Conscious Discipline classroom strategies to ensure that all children have the opportunity for high quality, nurturing, and safe learning experience. Under the guidance of the Kids Connect Clinician, support the implementation of therapeutic integration plans for children receiving Kids Connect services. Provide regular feedback to the clinician on each child's progress toward meeting individual goals. Complete Kids Connect Daily Sheets for each child. Develop a professional development plan and participate in activities to meet the minimum of 24 hours of training annually as required by the Department of Human Services Child Care Licensing Regulations, Bright Stars, and Head Start Performance Standards. Coordinate with the teaching team a schedule to maintain classroom cleanliness and safety in accordance with the Daily Classroom Cleaning and Sanitizing Checklist. Minimum Required Education: Associates in ECE or ECE Special Education, Bachelor preferred OR Bachelors or Associate in a related field with training or experience working with challenging behavior (i.e.: ABA, ) OR Child Development Associate (CDA) and experience working with challenging behavior Other combinations of education and experience will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
