See below the current opportunity to begin (or return to) your Boston College experience Job Description The Associate Vice President, Annual & Leadership Giving, is charged with building a best-in-class program that emphasizes the twin goals of increased undergraduate donor count and growth in current use, annual gifts of $10K or more. This individual will be responsible for the strategic design, implementation, and assessment of programs, marrying traditional outbound marketing channels with innovations in constituent engagement and management. The AVP will oversee a team whose responsibilities include marketing, volunteer engagement that drives reunion giving, participatory giving, and leadership giving. This person will regularly interact with alumni, parents, students, and University leaders, with a premium placed on developing collaborative relationships within the University Advancement division that will have a material, positive impact on the units goals. The role of AVP is crucial in increasing undergraduate donor counts and growing current-use annual gifts of $10K and above. The development of comprehensive strategies will ensure the University meets its fundraising goals, making an impact on the University's mission. The AVP of Annual & Leadership Giving will lead a team of 37 full-time staff, including three directors. The team also includes 15 full-time frontline fundraisers, all of whom will look to the AVP for leadership and guidance. Occasional evening and weekend work and some out-of-state travel are required. Full-Time Equivalent Hiring Range: $188,900 to $236,150; salary commensurate with relevant experience. Requirements The position requires 7-10 years of successful performance and management in annual fundraising, with a preference for individuals who have led program growth through innovative practices. The proven ability to lead and manage individuals and teams to drive performance and maintain high motivation and morale is critical. Exceptional collaborative and interpersonal skills are essential, demonstrated by strong working relationships with peers and senior leaders and the ability to mentor junior staff. Superb oral and written communication skills are required. This position requires a Bachelors degree.
