This is a full-time (40 hours/ week) paid internship program spanning ten weeks from June through August 2025. Participation in the internship program requires that you are located near your assigned office as the program is a hybrid work schedule, requiring you to be in the office at least 2 days per week..At Verisk, we have a longstanding commitment to inclusion, diversity & belonging in our workplace and marketplace.Click hereto read ourstatementon Racial,Equity andDiversity andlearn more about our Employee NetworkGroupsand our commitment to making a change.Locations:Jersey City, NJWhat You Could Learn:Own, run and manage assigned projects within the Legal, Compliance and Audit (LC&A) departments at VeriskSupport one or more of Legal's practice areas (Litigation, Mergers & Acquisitions, Intellectual Property, Privacy, Contracts, Insurance) by providing support to attorneys on their matters, including conducting research, developing summaries, etc.Collaborate closely with LC&A Operations team members, as well as staff within and outside of the department, to understand pain points / challenges and needs, and as requested, provide support to address those needs (e.g. document learnings, create guides, draft process maps and RASCI charts)Aid in the planning, execution, and communication around LC&A staff events, including coordination of pro bono events, social activities, and learning and development (e.g. CLE courses)Develop or assist in the development of PowerPoint presentations, such as decks for staff Town Halls, tutorials / walkthroughs, and more.Assist in the development and maintenance of both internal and customer facing LC&A departmental websites; consolidate staff resources (e.g. staff directories, learning and development resources, calendars, FAQs, etc.)Perform analyses as required and summarize findings / resultsDirectly support Verisk's Chief Legal Officer (CLO) and Head of Operations for LC&A as neededQualificationsWhat we're looking for:Skills and KnowledgeUndergraduate focused on a Business, Political Science and/ or International Relations degree; those with an interest in business operations or pursuing law school are encouraged to applyPrevious experience, exposure and/or demonstrated interest in project management and/or operationsSelf-motivated, savvy, and intuitive; a quick learner with initiative and intellectual curiosityDemonstrates a proactive mindset and approach to resolving present and anticipated tasks and challengesTeam player with excellent organization, communication (listening, speaking, writing), and follow up skillsAbility to play Project Manager; facilitate and shepherd projects and tasks along to be successfully delivered on timeMust be tech forward or tech inclined; savvy and at ease with technologyProficient, comfortable, and experienced with MS365, including sound ability with the following programs: Excel, Word, PowerPoint and TeamsFamiliarity with Smartsheet, Sharepoint, Power BI, Visio and similar tools are a huge plusStrong quantitative and qualitative skillsExcellent analytical skills and attention to detail; possess an interest and understanding of data and the value of dataThe Internship Program is not eligible for work visa sponsorship.If you will require work visa sponsorship (e.g., H1-B visa)' after completing your degree, you do not meet the basic requirements of the summer intern role.Additional InformationIn 2022, Verisk received Great Place to Work Certification for our outstanding workplace culture for the sixth year in a row and second-time certification in the UK, Spain, and India.
