Finishing Process Engineer - 112060 DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES: Job Description Arconic is currently in search of a Finishing Process Engineer to join our Kawneer Team in Cranberry Township, PA. Responsibilities Primary Responsibilities Provide operations support and search for technologies related with new equipment and processes associated to Anodize and Paint of extruded aluminum Manage projects on a manufacturing environment with the goal to increase efficiency, productivity, improve quality and OEE Provide day-to-day technical advice, problem solving and support to operations and maintenance by applying engineering principles, reliability tools to drive problems to root cause Develop and propose equipment modification plans based on failure data, craft feedback and OEM design modifications Be hands on and apply lean manufacturing methodology on the shop floor with production Ensure compliance of projects with appropriate engineering standards Manage multiple projects at the same time including subcontractors Support operations in improving process management and OEE improvement. Key success factors include improving lines performance and quality throughput, reducing changing overs, reducing equipment downtime, reducing cost, improving overall efficiency Support operations on failure investigation, leading root causes analysis Serve as the Anodize and Paint department expert for continuous improvement tools and processes Partner with area supervisors to develop continuous improvement strategies that directly support department Hoshin goals, then implement those strategies on the shop floor including the tools and processes required to sustain the improvements in the future Control and approval of process control plans Document and develop manufacturing procedures, train operators, support operations need Interact with process network, setup data analysis via ODBCs and Sql, develop PowerBI dashboards, develop OSIPi historian charts Deploy Smart manufacturing concepts to improve operational efficiency Analyze existing processes and identify areas for improvement through data-driven methods, root cause analysis, and statistical tools Troubleshoot process issues with maintenance team, operators, and/or process engineers Creating, maintaining, and updating equipment files, programs and drawings Lead and plan weekly TPM - Total Productive Maintenance events supporting operations on organizing AM (Autonomous Maintenance) tasks and tracking the execution of AMs EHS: Environmental, Health and Safety Engagement - being SPA on at least one Critical 8 Safety Topic All other duties as assigned Knowledge Skills and Abilities Understand discrete manufacturing processes Ability to manage process and troubleshoot, setup data analysis using ODBCs and write basic SQL statements Understand process networking software (servers, programs, machine-interactions) Smart manufacturing and collaborative systems Project management - knowledge on project management methodologies Lean manufacturing - knowledge on lean manufacturing methodology and concepts AutoCAD skills for creating custom or modified details/drawings Proven data analytics skills with previous experience on data collection, historians and problem solving Initiative - job requires a willingness to lead, take charge, and offer opinions and direction Problem solving - job requires advanced problem solving skills and experience in st uctured, root-cause problem solving methodology Disciplined execution - job requires daily execution to the plan, when required, he/she will need to be able to dive into details to ensure operational success Energy - job requires high levels of personal energy and initiate to be successful Stress tolerance - job requires accepting criticism and dealing calmly and effectively with high stress situations Critical thinking - needs to be logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weakness of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems Problem sensitivity - ability to tell when something is wrong or is likely to go wrong Ability to function in an environment with tight deadlines Organization and time management skills Qualifications Basic Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering from an accredited Institution At least 1 year of industrial manufacturing experience Experience with discrete manufacturing, data analytics, process control, smart manufacturing concepts Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
