If so, Postal and Parcel Services at Iowa State University is currently seeking candidates for a Customer Relations Coordinator III Postal and Parcel Services provides inbound and outbound delivery and metering services for USPS, UPS, FedEx, and DHL. This role involves sorting and coordinating parcel and package shipments, fulfilling customer requests, supporting customer billing, and performing deliveries as needed. Duties/Responsibilities: Provides information, recommendations and suggestions about USPS, FedEx, UPS and DHL products and services to best meet customer shipping needs. Explains to customers shipping and mailing policies and procedures as well as services department offers. Processes outgoing mail/parcels to meet or exceed USPS and other vendor requirements, paying special attention to hazardous materials, international export control, etc. Maintains and builds customer relationships. Specializes in shipping regulations to meet customer needs. Resolves customer issues (e.g. damaged packages, late deliveries, insurance claims, etc.). Processes vendor invoices for departmental billing, verifying accurate assignment of charges to customer's worktags (resolving billing issues). Creates and maintains departmental Postal Account Numbers in the Postal billing system. Distributes mail and serves as a backup delivery driver. Liaises with vendors, especially as necessary to resolve issues or to determine the best methodology for shipping. Assists with department communications. Completes ad hoc reports. Coordinates special projects. Monitors website for accuracy of information. Keeps up to date with relevant technology. Supports the overall operation of the mail center. Other duties as assigned.
