The selected candidate will have a background in, and passion for geotechnical engineering. Your new position will entail the following responsibilities:Design, implementation, coordination and oversight of large and small subsurface exploration program, and laboratory testing programs for a wide range of high-profile projects.Oversight of field work including logging of borings and rock cores, in-situ testing and data recording and interpretationPreparing and coordinating data from laboratory and field testing.Performing geotechnical analysis and calculations for variety of projects including shallow and deep foundations, retaining walls, slope stability, seismic and seepage studiesAuthoring technical reports and specifications for a variety of projects.Oversight of geotechnical construction works including foundation installation, excavation, and subgrade inspectionsCandidate Specification:B.S. degree in civil or geotechnical engineering, Master's preferredEIT or FE preferred,Minimum 1 to 3 years of experience in geotechnical engineeringField experience logging soil and rock as well as log preparation and construction inspection/oversightUnderstanding of soil mechanics and geotechnical analysisFamiliarity with geotechnical design software such as: gINT, OpenGround, Slope/W, DeepEx, LPile, RSPile, PLAXIS preferredStrong communication, problem solving and organizational skills.Desire to be part of a growing, dynamic team.Self-motivated and hard workingWillingness and ability to travel, sometimes for extended periods of timeOur teams are comprised of bright and enthusiastic people who wish to make a difference to the world that we live in.
