Role Responsibilities & Key AccountabilitiesStrategic Guidance & Operational EffectivenessAct as an integral part of the corporate leadership team. Collaborate with IFS leadership to set financial targets and KPIs aligned with the IFS strategic objectives and monitor progress towards achieving them through regular P& L reviews. Enable insight-driven collaboration with Functional owners. Drive strategic decision making with a data and insight driven approach, ensuring it is aligned to wider firm and financial strategies. Ensure alignment between the financial goals and objectives of the Function; partnering with Functional leaders (ELT-1) to develop financial strategies that support the overall strategic direction of Function and the firm overall. Lead the development and review of annual budgets, targets and financial forecasts with Finance team. Act as an enabling partner and make recommendations concerning strategy, resource allocation, and business operations to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and maximize overall financial performance for the Function. Drive organic investment prioritization and capital allocation with strong return on investment expectations and tracking to drive accountability. Manage the processes for financial forecasting and budgets, overseeing the preparation of all financial reporting. Maintain a detailed knowledge and understanding of business drivers and bring a comprehensive understanding of how these fit into the Functional strategy. Appropriate alignment of IFS costs to the Business Units based on the services being performed on behalf of their respective organization. Challenge and make recommendations with respect to performance against budget, budget setting and financial viability of new initiatives / investments. Provide valuable analysis and commentary of the results to functional leaders and finance partners. Prepare monthly performance updates for leadership ensuring key risks, issues and opportunities are highlighted, with a focus on key value drivers.LeadershipProvide broad leadership with a financial, risk and growth lens. Bring challenge and candor as a key member of IFS leadership. Provide leadership, direction and management of the finance and accounting team to achieve client-centric outcomes that enable Functional leaders to achieve financial targets. Leverage communication and analytical skills to collaborate closely with other shared services (Finance, IT, HR) to deliver a seamless experience that supports the IFS financial objectives. Build a versatile team maximizing efficiency of production through collaboration with other finance teams. Drive the transformation of finance demanding best in class solutions and challenging the status quo. Develop their direct teams and contribute meaningfully to the development of the broader function.GrowthAct as a key partner with the IFS leadership, providing long-term business and financial planning. Provide commercial insight and leadership across the firm to exceed business plan targets. Support diligence on M& A activities, including but not limited to owning financial modelling, sizing synergies, target tracking. Establish and develop relations with senior management and external partners and stakeholders.Qualifications & ExperienceAt least 15 years of work experience demonstrating progression through various finance roles. Demonstrated experience of partnering and influencing senior business partners in a matrix environment. Commercially minded ability to influence change. Experience integrating businesses and managing through change. Act with pragmatism and execution focus to deliver outcomes, and foster the same in our teams Demonstrate strong analytical, organizational, and project management abilities. Strong understanding of data analysis and forecasting and risk management. Ability to prepare and deliver financial and strategic presentations to senior management with impact A high level of interpersonal skills and an ability to function effectively as part of a global team that coordinates, works, and reports out of different geographies. Experienced People Leader. Degree qualified and accounting certification (CPA, CA etc.) and / or MBA Kroll is committed to creating an inclusive work environment.
