24.91-28.03 per hour Syracuse, NY, USA Hourly Stark Equipment Full Time We are seeking an experienced Generator Service Technician to join our Syracuse, NY team. If you have the ability to listen, communicate, and troubleshoot generators we want to talk to you. How are you successful in this role? You should be able to repair generators, respond to emergency calls, and commission new systems. This position is part of the union and will follow the policies, benefits and perks set forth under the local's Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA). The hourly rate is dependent on the level of expertise and includes pension, health insurance and annuity. The Company provides the necessary tools, equipment, vehicle with gas card, clothing, laptop, and cell phone. What are we looking for? At least five years of experience servicing generators High School Diploma or equivalent The ability to travel to job sites 100% of the time The ability to read wiring diagrams Participate in a rotation on-call schedule for after hours and weekend emergencies Implementation of safety and lock out/tag out procedures, and to complete customer specific site access classes as required Hold or obtain 10-hour OSHA certification What we would love to see? Knowledge in all facets of the generator industry, including fluids such as engine oil, antifreeze, battery acid, diesel fuel, etc. Experience repairing engines and working with electrical equipment Proven experience working on 8KW-2000KW generators EGSA Certification What we offer?
