Are you ready to change the world? Apply now Job Summary This is a fixed term position that is expected to span 18 months. The Finance Policy and Procedure Manager works within a matrix reporting structure. The position reports to both the Vice President for Finance and Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and the Associate Vice President for Finance. The CFO and AVP will establish the overall strategic lens and guidance; the AVP as the SME will translate into the operational and functional direction. The position collaborates with the functional and service areas in Finance to manage policy life cycle - to develop, review, disseminate, archive, sunset, and train on campus-wide policies, policy revisions, and procedures that are owned by the Finance Division. This involves coordinating with policy owners within the Finance Division and within student financial service areas; and constituencies to ensure that all appropriate stakeholders are involved. Work with General Counsel and the Compliance Officer to ensure all applicable governing law, rules, and regulations are interpreted consistently. Work with the Risk Manager to ensure policies and procedures align with insurance coverage needs, and support risk mitigation efforts. All policies and procedures are to be developed within the context of shared values and objectives of collaboration, trust, accountability, compliance, and risk management. Simultaneously policies and procedures need to align and enable strategy. Serves as champion for university ethics, culture and values. Minimum Qualifications Required: Bachelor's degree in finance, business or a related field Seven (7) or more years of directly related experience Preferred: Advanced Degree (JD, MBA, MA, MD, or PhD) preferred Preference given to those with experience in an academic, government or healthcare administration environment Relevant combinations of education, training and experience may be considered. Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Demonstrated leadership skills in a large complex higher education, corporate or governmental environment Demonstrated skills in policy and procedure development Knowledge of regulatory environment in the academic, government and healthcare field Experience in leading teams creating shared values and objectives, and ability to drive resolution Outstanding verbal and written communication skills Reputation for the highest integrity and ethical standards Shift Business Hours: Monday - Friday Starting Salary/Rate Expected hiring range: $115,000 - $140,000 per year Pay transparency disclosure: The selected candidate's salary will be determined based on factors that include the available budget, internal equity, and the final candidate's qualifications, experience, education and other job-related credentials.
