SUMMARY OF FUNCTIONS This role is responsible for all aspects of Curia's Drug Product business operations in Burlington, Massachusetts and leads the Burlington DP Manufacturing and Development business. The Site Head uses their leadership and experience to instill the highest caliber of operational excellence, project and product delivery ensuring the implementation of the business plan and guides the department leadership team in the execution of business goals, with a focus on continuous improvement, high-quality standards, and the best-in-class customer satisfaction. The Site Head works closely with the global sales team and promotes and develops new lines of business for this unit and is responsible for expanding revenue and profit generation through a strong retained and newly developed customer base, as well as through higher capacity utilization as well as appropriate and effective capital build out. This position represents the unit internally and seeks to seamlessly integrate its business with the Pharmaceutical Development and Manufacturing organizations, as well as the overall Curia organization. MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned Develop and execute strategic, operational, manufacturing, quality and sales process plans that ensure the reliable attainment of business and ultimate production and delivery of the highest quality services and products at the lowest possible net cost. Lead the planning, budgeting, profitability assurance, and cost monitoring of the site business. Ensure a culture of continuous improvement and build a leadership team to develop/execute operational excellence program Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory, inspection and compliance programs and statutes. Instill culture of uncompromising and consistent setting and upholding of the highest standards. Oversee, through department leaders, implementation of effective customer projects. Participate in establishing a sales and business development plan and executing such with the business development team that assures that customers are aware of Curia's capabilities and ability to meet their needs while meeting or exceeding the Curia business plan for revenue and profitability for the sterile fill business. Ownership of site engineering, equipment purchase and maintenance, utilities, facilities and associated capital expenditure planning and execution. Ensures on-going process and manufacturing capability improvement. Develop annual operational budgets and targets. Responsible for the Burlington team attaining the goals that are set. Responsible for the development of staff, including performance management for direct reports and instilling this ethos throughout the site Recommend and implement methods to increase the quality of products and/or services. Participate in self-development activities and training. Exhibit safety awareness and safe work practices. Lead and involved, pro- active culture of safety and environmental compliance. Adherence to cGMP's and regulations - FDA, DEA, EPA, State and Local. Builds an effective site based multi-functional team with direct and dotted line reports. Perform other related duties as may be reasonably assigned in the course of business or as requested by supervisor or management. Customer-centric service and satisfaction Executes projects to the highest level of standards. Prepares, executes, and verifies ROI of CAPEX projects at site. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE 10+ years of broad experience in management of diverse business operations and functions, with demonstrated success in manufacturing leadership, life sciences, or other technical industry leadership role. B.S. in Chemistry, Engineering, Business or related scientific field. Experience in the CMO, API, CRO or pharmaceutical/biotech partner sector strongly preferred MBA or specific demonstrated hands-on business success in a firm that has both domestic and international components. Possess the ability to provide strategic leadership to the organization in terms of strategy development, providing of resources and execution of defined strategy.
