Company Description:Project FIND's missionis to provide low- and moderate-income and homeless seniors with the services and support they need to enrich their lives and live independently.Today Project FIND operates three supportive housing residences that are home to about 600 people and four senior centers with over 3,000 members. Our members and residents range from the healthy and active to the frail and homebound to the homeless. For all these individuals, Project FIND is a critical resource, providing housing, meals, and programs that help individuals navigate the challenges of aging by encouraging community engagement and healthy living.Project FIND's Older Adult Centers are dedicated site that provides a variety of meals, activities, and services to people over the age of 60. Please visit our website at:Summary:The Security Guard is responsible for monitoring the activities at the building, patrolling the property premises and logging in surveillance activities.General Responsibilities:Complete daily reports, including relevant information, observations, surveillance footage, and signaturesGreet all residents and visitors cordiallyLog in non-tenantsPatrol building twice each eveningCheck roof and basement once every eveningReport building systems emergencies to superintendent and managerIn the event of a tenant medical emergency, contact 911 and the superintendentDocument all medical, police and building systems events in the Project FIND Incident Report formPatrol property on foot, securing personnel, assets, buildings, gates, and fence perimeter are secure in all weather conditionsInvestigate and take the appropriate lawfully action as authorized by the corporate policy on accidents, incidents, trespassing, suspicious activities, safety and fire incidentsControl and monitor surveillance equipment, and perform building inspectionsGuard access points, permitting or refusing entry, restraining trespassers, and direct heavy traffic during the start and end of business hoursQualifications include:Proficiency with computers, and aptitude to learn new software and systemsExperience with security equipment and surveillance systemsHigh school diploma or GEDSchedule:Monday-Friday from 5pm-1am (35 hours per week). Please note this position requires the availability and flexibility to occasionally work some weekends and holidays.Project FIND participates in E-Verify, which confirms employment authorization through an electronic database maintained by the Social Security Administration and Department of Homeland Security. The E-Verify process is completed in conjunction with the Form I-9 Employment Eligibility Verification. E-Verify is not used as a tool to pre-screen candidates.
