We want you to join our team Department: Accounts Payable FLSA Status: Nonexempt Starting rate: $5,445 No. of positions:1 -This is a temporary position with a duration of up to6 months. Overall Purpose: Under direct supervision perform clerical tasks related to issuance of payments to vendors and employees by processing invoices in accordance with established practices and guidelines utilizing accounts payable software. Job Responsibilities: Data entry of supplier and employee expense invoices ensuring accuracy, timeliness of payments and audit controls. Audit incoming employee expenses to ensure proper authorization and support. Process all 'Request for Wire' documents to update the accounts payable software with the detail of wires generated in Treasury. Participate in the month end accounting close by processing all outstanding invoices and preparing documents for accrual. Assist in opening and the sorting of mail, responding to emails, the retention of documents, the printing and distribution of supplier payments and the research requested by both suppliers and fellow employees. Perform other related work as required or assigned. Education / Experience Requirements: High School graduate or equivalent with additional 6 college credits in accounting. Must be able to pass the company administered standardized test. SASS Two years of accounts payable, purchasing or accounts receivable purchase order billing experience. Demonstrated knowledge of accounts payable processes and regulations, purchase order requirements, discounts, payment and shipping terms. Strong data entry skills - 50 wpm and 10 key by touch required Ability to meet deadlines, detail oriented and self-motivated. Demonstrated proficient skills in the use of personal computers and supporting software in a Windows base environment, including MS Office products such as Word and Excel. Demonstrated proficient mathematical skills. Knowledge of basic math (pre-algebra) operations skills, knowledge of proper applications of those skills, and conceptual understandings of mathematical principles concepts that are needed to reason quantitatively and to solve problems logically. Strong organizational and prioritizing skills, excellent interpersonal and effective, clear communication skills.
