Opportunity Overview The Learning and Development Specialist is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing comprehensive learning and development programs that align with the organization's strategic goals. This role combines expertise in instructional design with program management skills to ensure effective delivery and continuous improvement of training initiatives. This is a hybrid role located in North Reading, MA. L&D Program: Develop and Manage Courses and Programs: Oversee the design, development, and delivery of learning programs; may include onboarding, leadership development, internal company-specific and technical training. Project Coordination: Manage multiple learning projects simultaneously; communicating with vendors and facilities management, budget reports, and stakeholder communications. Evaluation and Reporting: Monitor program effectiveness through feedback, assessments, and performance metrics; prepare and present reports. Platform Administration: Manage the Learning Management System (LMS) for course and class entries, item reviews, and ensure that Standard Operating Procedures are followed and developed. Instructional Design: Course & Curriculum Development: Design and create engaging, learner-centered training materials, including e-learning modules, facilitator guides, participant handouts, and multimedia content. Content Creation: Utilize instructional design models (e.g., ADDIE, SAM) to develop effective and interactive learning experiences. Quality Assurance: Review and revise training materials based on feedback and industry best practices to ensure high-quality content. Continuous Improvement: Best Practices and Influence: Stay current with industry trends and best practices in learning and development and instructional design, and suggest new strategies based on learner feedback, assessment results, and evolving organizational needs. If you're ready to join us in this mission, take a closer look at the minimum criteria for the position. Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Education, Instructional Design, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree is a plus. 3+ years of experience in learning and development, with at least 2 years in a program management role. Proven experience in instructional design, including the creation of e-learning modules and training materials. Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) (e.g., SCORM Cloud, SuccessFactors, Docebo, etc.) learning technologies and e-learning authoring tools (e.g., Articulate, Captivate). Strong project management and organizational skills. Proficient in instructional design methodologies and best practices. Ability to evalaute training needs and evaluate program effectiveness. Skilled in facilitating engaging and effective training sessions. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
