Purpose: Contributes to the overall success of Global Transaction Banking (GTB) in North America ensuring specific individual goals, plans, initiatives are executed and delivered in support of the team's business strategies and objectives. Ensures all activities conducted are in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures. The Product Manager - US Deposit Products and Liquidity Solutions is responsible for contributing to sustainable revenue growth, profitability, and increased market share of US-domiciled business deposits products and related liquidity management solutions, supporting clients in the Corporate and Commercial segments. What You'll Do: Conceptualizes, develops, leads, supports and implements business strategies, roadmaps and initiatives to establish, maintain and/or enhance our competitive position, growing the balance sheet profitably, and deepening customer relationships. Leads and drives a customer focused culture throughout their team to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems, and knowledge. Responsible for managing the assigned US-domiciled deposit products and/or liquidity management solutions (such as: pooling, sweeping, positioning, netting, cash concentration, interest optimization, cash forecasting etc.) portfolio to drive product penetration, revenue, growth and customer satisfaction by: Supporting the Director - US Business Deposit Products, the Product Owner(s), the Core Banking and Liquidity Management labs and technology teams and the leadership teams as a SME to execute on the assigned responsibilities related to the deposit product portfolio, as well as on all existing and future initiatives related to the US strategy. Supporting the team in developing new product solutions, end-to-end processes, procedures, policies, system enhancements, etc. Identifying product education needs and deliver multi-channel programs for business line sales teams to accelerate sales growth and meet customer needs. Contributing to the development of the strategic direction of the business Analyzing customer, product and competitive data, identifying trends and executing on opportunities to drive P&L growth, product mix, non-interest revenue, and reduce costs. Proactively identifying opportunities to support business line efforts to achieve business objectives and ensure alignment of initiatives with GTB and Bank strategies. Developing mid and long-term strategies for product development and optimization. Collaborating with partners across the Bank to deliver product enhancements and drive deposit volumes, understand and articulate the product vision, including the customer impacts, business/stakeholder value, system dependencies, and technological processes, both internal and external Supporting senior leadership team as a subject matter expert (i.e., periodic commentary and insights, product reviews, business reviews, strategic review sessions, etc.). Ensuring products and assigned projects are performing as expected and resolving issues that arise in a timely manner with updates to partners and escalations to management as required Determining where product gaps may exist with respect to customer needs, competitive offerings, and trends Delivery of initiatives / approved projects: Develop and deliver new initiatives (incl. assigned existing initiatives) from concept to execution including the preparation of opportunity assessments, business cases, presentations, project plans and obtain stakeholder buy-in. Lead and support project teams and take responsibility for achieving specific milestones and targets Lead the development of systems and operational changes that result in increased sales capacity or assist in better meeting the needs and expectations of target customer segments. Overseeing the design and implementation of product initiatives - Performing in an Agile setting for digital products, and waterfall as required Strategic engagement and influencing of stakeholders to manage prioritization and change delivery Ensuring requirements are as agreed by partners are driven by customer feedback and data Keeping projects moving with a sense of urgency by actively participating in the project team, sprint reviews, and driving milestones Operating with curiosity to challenge the status quo to improve the product P&L Relationship Management and Communication Managing partner, business line, sales and vendor relationships for the portfolio Collaborating with the Technology, Sales, Pricing, AML, Risk, Compliance, Internal Control teams (and other support functions) to articulate the product vision, including the customer impacts, business/stakeholder value, system dependencies and technological processes. Supporting the US product leadership, Product Owner and other stakeholder teams as a SME on the assigned US Deposit Products and Liquidity Solutions product portfolio Effectively communicating product updates through publication channels to ensure effective delivery of new and/or enhanced products, programs, and processes to the sales teams Understanding the voice of the customer and front-line staff to improve product quality and implement system enhancements Overseeing the product marketing and communications for customers and staff Providing subject matter expertise and thought leadership to partners as required Regulatory and control function compliance Ensuring the assigned product portfolio meets all regulatory and control function requirements and standards Leading the end-to-end management of the regulatory initiatives for the assigned products and liquidity management solutions Identifies, assesses, and resolves highly complex issues and interdependencies across the portfolio - including and not limited to product, channel, processes, systems, regulatory and compliance requirements. Leading cross-functional working sessions, engaging partners and stakeholders for managing and resolving risk, legal, compliance and other control function related issues and interdependencies. Review financials, key performance indicators, and trends for: Owning the P&L of the product and services assigned Working with the pricing and operations teams to drive revenues and improve efficiencies Builds a high-performance environment and implements a people strategy that attracts, retains, develops and motivates their team by fostering an inclusive work environment and using a coaching mindset and behaviors; communicating vison/values/business strategy; and, managing succession and development planning for the team . Creates an environment in which his/her team pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational risk, regulatory compliance risk, AML/ATF risk and conduct risk, including but not limited to responsibilities under the Operational Risk Management Framework, Regulatory Compliance Risk Management Framework, AML/ATF Global Handbook and the Guidelines for Business Conduct. What You'll Bring: Self-starter possessing confidence and initiative; able to cope with changing and evolving priorities while identifying new opportunities Excellent communication, interpersonal, and strategic negotiating skills Knowledge of payments, industry trends and practices, innovative digital platforms, policies and procedures an asset 7+ year experience with transaction banking products, specifically business banking products Product management expertise to enable the thorough understanding of products/services A positive attitude combined with confidence to drive team priorities Knowledge of the Bank's application systems and their relationships within the Bank is an asset Experience working in an Agile environment is an asset University Degree in business, economics, or technology (MBA an asset) Working Conditions: Located at our New York office Hybrid work environment with the expectation to be in office 3-4 times a week or as needed Work in a standard office-based environment; non-standard hours are a common occurrence.
