We are currently seeking a compassionate and skilled Bilingual (preferred) Facilitator for our Staten Island Abusive Partner Intervention Program (APIP). Primary Purpose of the Role: As a Facilitator, you'll be pivotal in delivering educational services to individuals referred to the Abusive Partner Intervention Program. You'll lead participants through a specialized curriculum that emphasizes responsibility for abusive behaviors and explores the profound effects of violence. Key Responsibilities: Conduct Assessments:Lead orientation and assessment sessions for new participants, adhering to the program's curriculum. Schedule Management:Organize and schedule sessions for participants. Group Facilitation:Co-facilitate themed intervention sessions using control logs, assignments, and interactive exercises, both in-person and virtually. Attendance Tracking:Maintain accurate records of participant attendance and distribute attendance letters. Training and Development:Attend scheduled trainings and meetings to stay current with best practices and program updates. What We're Looking For: Educational Background:High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's Degree in social services or a related field preferred. Relevant Experience:Participation in domestic violence or criminal justice training, or completion of a 100-hour qualified internship at an EAC site. Skills:Proficiency in computer applications, including spreadsheets, Microsoft Office, email, and database software. Strong oral and written communication skills are essential. Knowledge:Understanding of local criminal justice and treatment systems.
