EAC Network, a leading not-for-profit organization dedicated to empowering over 62,888 individuals through 100 impactful programs across Long Island and NYC, is seeking a motivated Family Communication Specialist to join our Home Base (Intensive) Program. Why You'll Love This Role: As a Family Communication Specialist, you'll be at the heart of helping families build stronger, healthier relationships. This part-time position offers a competitive rate of $32 per hour and a flexible hybrid schedule of 28 hours per week. You'll be based in our Central Islip, NY office, with opportunities to work both remotely and in the community. You'll report directly to the Program Director. Key Responsibilities: Counseling & Support:Provide individual and family counseling both in-home and in the office to enhance communication and resolve conflicts. Help families navigate crises and strengthen their relationships. Mediation:Mediate and resolve issues within the home environment, focusing on youth and family dynamics. Collaborative Planning:Partner with Case Managers to create comprehensive service plans tailored to each client's needs. Resource Coordination:Establish and maintain connections with local hospitals, treatment programs, and other supportive services to benefit your clients. Crisis Intervention:Offer immediate support and crisis intervention when necessary. Documentation & Representation:Maintain detailed client records, participate in trainings and workshops, and represent the agency in meetings as requested. Transportation:Provide transportation for clients to appointments, enrichment activities, or emergency resources using your own vehicle. What We're Looking For: Educational Background:Master's degree in Social Work or Mental Health Counseling; LMSW or LMHC preferred. Experience:At least two years of experience working with families. Skills:Outstanding communication skills, both oral and written. Ability to collaborate effectively with criminal justice, treatment, and mental health systems. Technical Proficiency:Skilled in computer applications, including Microsoft Office, spreadsheets, email, and database software. Licensing:Valid New York State Driver's License and access to a car.
