EAC Network, a leading not-for-profit agency dedicated to empowering and supporting over 62,888 people through 100 programs across Long Island and NYC, is seeking a dynamic Coordinator for our Senior Health Promotion Program. Why This Role is Perfect for You: As a Senior Health Promotion Coordinator, youll play a crucial role in enhancing the well-being of seniors across Nassau County. This part-time position offers a competitive hourly rate of $25, a flexible work schedule, and the chance to be at the forefront of innovative health promotion strategies. What Youll Do: Innovate & Implement: Collaborate with senior centers and the Office for the Aging to design and roll out wellness programs tailored to the needs of the senior community. Lead & Inspire: Oversee consultants and volunteers delivering health promotion activities, including organizing on-site visits throughout Nassau County. Build Partnerships: Develop and nurture community partnerships to expand access to essential health programs for seniors. Leverage Expertise: Apply your advanced education and experience to deliver top-notch professional services, techniques, and strategies. Organize & Monitor: Manage timesheets, track participation, and coordinate the distribution of monthly schedule confirmations. What Were Looking For: Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Public Health, Psychology, Health Education, or a related health field. Experience: At least two years of relevant experience in public health or health promotion. Skills: Exceptional interpersonal and organizational skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office, spreadsheets, email, and other relevant software. Knowledge: Familiarity with public health education principles and trends at national, state, and community levels. Other Requirements: Valid NY State Drivers License and access to a vehicle. Strong ability to communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing, and to establish effective relationships with community agencies and the public.
