2nd opening for Visit Specialist is at: 175 Fulton Ave 4th Floor, Hempstead, NY, 11550 - Hempstead, NY Visit Specialist EAC Network, a not-for-profit social service agency that empowers, assists, and cares for over 62,888 people in need through 100 programs across Long Island and NYC, seeks a Visit Specialist to work part time for its Suffolk Supervised Visitation Program. The Visit Specialist position is a non-exempt position paying $18 per hour. The position is part time, up to 18 hours/ week, Tuesday and Wednesday from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and Saturdays 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM. The office is located in Ronkonkoma, NY & the role reports to the Program Director. Primary Purpose of Job: The Visit Specialist is responsible for facilitating and supervising scheduled visitations for the Suffolk Supervised Visitation program in the office. Principal Duties & Responsibilities: Be present during, and closely monitor, visitation sessions at all times. Conduct in office-based supervised visitation sessions. Report observations of sessions to Supervisor; document visits in case files. Ensure that Program policies and procedures are followed during the visit according to Conditions for Participation form. Testify in court, if a subpoena is served. Assist with childcare when necessary. Work evenings and weekends as required. Monitor cleanliness of visitation rooms. Attend scheduled staff meetings, conferences, and training. Review previous progress notes prior to each visit. Provide 24-48 hours notice if unable to work scheduled shift. Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Required: High School or educational equivalent required, degree preferred. Minimum of two years of relevant work experience preferred. Must have the ability to contain volatile emergency situations in office and immediately report to the Supervisor. Must be proficient in computer applications or other automated systems such as spreadsheets, Microsoft Office applications, calendar, and email and/or database software necessary to perform work assignments.
