Location: Farmingdale, NY Category: Adjunct Posted On: Tue Jul 18 2023 Job Description: The LIEOC at Farmingdale State College periodically seeks experienced instructors to teach business and technology courses to adult learners. Courses offered include, but are not limited to, Administrative Assistant, Electronic Health Records, Quick Books, Digital Marketing and Entrepreneurship, Digital Literacy, and MOS certification. Classes are offered on various days of the week on both morning and evening schedules in both in person and online modalities. Successful candidates will be experienced and adept at teaching business or technological skills to all levels of adult students. Job Requirements: MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's Degree in business, business education, technology, or a related field At least three years of experience teaching Strong written and communication skills Willingness to teach mornings or evenings Ability to teach in person and online Experience working with people of diverse racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic backgrounds Philosophy of education appropriate for the adult learner ADDITIONAL PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Master's Degree in Higher Education, Adult Education, business, or technology At least five years of experience teaching in adult education or higher education Knowledge of D2L Brightspace and Banner Experience using online platforms/instructional technology Additional Information: The Consumer Information web page can be viewed at the following link This page describes various services, information and statistics on many different aspects of the College's operations.
