This job was posted by : For more information, please see: Under the direction of the assigned manager, the Business Banker 2 develops solid banking relationships using the CFB4 (or small business equivalent) sales process and the Banks available resources to market all Arvests products and services to meet current and future needs of clients while maximizing the Banks revenue and profit. The incumbent is responsible for the management of basic to expanded small business relationships. Proficiency in the origination, analysis, underwriting, and servicing of small business loans within the established policy and procedure framework and knowledge of all business banking products is required. The position requires critical thinking, time management, and multi-tasking skills along with the ability to assess clients needs while providing excellent customer service. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. 1.Use proven business/commercial banking knowledge and experience to manage basic to expanded small business relationships utilizing the CFB4 (or small business equivalent) sales principles to develop a fully banked account relationship. 2.Cultivate relationships within the community, including prospective referral sources (aka Centers of Influence (COI)), to generate new business opportunities for the Bank. 3.Work internally with strategic business partners (e.g. Arvest Business Engagement (ABE), Treasury Management, Credit Card, Wealth Management, etc.) and branch associates to fully develop the Small Business Customer/Prospect relationship. This may include participating in joint customer calls with the Banks strategic partners and conducting CFBs with branch associates. 4.Facilitate small business loans through Small Business Underwriting (SBU) within policy guidelines. For requests outside the scope of SBU, the incumbent will originate, process, underwrite, approve, and close small business loans (including SBA guaranteed) within authorized lending authority and in adherence to loan policy. 5.Maintain a quality loan portfolio as outlined by the Loan Manager and loan policy. 6.Provide comprehensive guidance and solutions to existing and potential small business customers and internal associates who help service these customers. 7.Stay abreast of changing business trends that impact the small business market segment and translate those trends into business opportunities. 8.Maintain an expanded working knowledge of all Arvest small business banking products and services including deposit accounts, loans, Treasury Management, credit cards, merchant services, SBA loans, etc. 9.Use ClientLink to manage and track client relationships, schedule contacts, follow-up and input sales opportunities for pipeline, production, etc. 10.Understand and comply with bank policy, laws, regulations, and the bank's BSA/AML Program, as applicable to your job duties. This includes but is not limited to; complete compliance training and adhere to internal procedures and controls; report any known violations of compliance policy, laws, or regulations and report any suspicious customer and/or account activity. TEAM ACCOUNTABILITIES: Cross-sell other services of the bank. Support and uphold the Arvest Mission Statement. Uphold the Arvest Code of Ethics and ensure that confidential information is safeguarded. Maintain a high level of cooperation and rapport with all associates to ensure accurate and efficient operations and service. Formulate and communicate new ideas and suggestions that will improv profitability and efficiency for the bank's overall operation. Promote professionalism at all times. SUPERVISORY SKILLS: May directly supervise 1 or more associates as assigned by the Manager. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Ensure direct reports have completed required compliance training and are adhering to all internal procedures and controls as it relates to bank policy, laws, regulations and Arvests BSA/AML Program. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, appraising performance, rewarding, and disciplining associates. The incumbent has the authority and the appropriate influence to make recommendations regarding hiring, firing, advancement, promotion, or any other change of status of other associates within the guidelines of the banks procedures and guidelines for such change of status events. The incumbent provides training, planning, assigning, and directing work assignments and schedules; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
