Horizon BCBSNJ employees must live in New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Connecticut or DelawareJob Summary:Responsible for supporting cross-functional project teams to deliver defined project outputs on time, within budget, and with quality results. This position will plan, organize, monitor, and support one or more projects to meet defined requirements or business specifications. Project Management Trainees will support and learn project management techniques. Project Management Trainee I's will help enable the achievement of the Enterprise vision and strategic objectives through their support.Acquire necessary PM training hours and work experience to qualify for andpass PMI-s PMP certification.May be required to perform multiple EPMO roles to understand keyresponsibilities. This includes: Project Planner Scheduler, Project Manager,Project Business Analyst etc.Assists with determining project goals and priorities with project sponsors,program owner and/or project owner.Provides performance input to team members- functional managers and/or theDPMO /Program Manager.May be responsible for assisting with one or more projects.Clarifies assignments and deliverables; review quality of work and assists withmanaging integration of team members- workCo-create a project charter with the team, including the definition ofcompletion and success criteria.Assists with Managing and communicating a clear vision of the projectsobjectives.Analyze risks, establish contingency plans and identify trigger events andresponsibility for initiating mitigating action. Oversee Risk activities.Gather stakeholder input and rank the top project risks in terms of total impact.Support relationships with project stakeholders, including internal and externalclients and vendors, keeping them informed of progress and issues in order tomanage expectations on all project requirements and deliverables.Establish clear priorities among project activities.Ensure adherence of PM standards, processes, and support services.Resolve issues related to client relations, governmental relations, projectquality, project risk, and project safety.Support vendor relations and procurement related to the project.HYBRID - IN OFFICE 2 DAYS A WEEK ( NEWARK OR HOPEWELL) Experience:Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university required.Minimum 2 years professional business experience preferably in the Health Insurance industry or a Bachelor's degree related to Project Management.This position will require that the candidate obtains the necessary PMP certifications within 3 years of entering the trainee role.An understanding of project management terminology and practices.Excellent verbal and written communication skills with attention to detail.Effective working independently or as part of a team.Ability to multitask; good prioritization, time management and organizational skills.Skills and Abilities:Ability to plan and facilitate meetings.Strategic, conceptual analytical thinking and decision making skills.Adaptability and flexibility including ability to manage deadline pressure,ambiguity and change.Good conflict resolution and negotiation skills within a context of politicalsensitivity and conflicting interests.Good analytical skills and the ability to present findings in a clear,concise manner.Ability to advise on complex matters to non-specialists; ability tocommunicate effectively with senior management.Good oral and written communication skills.A clear vision of what determines a successful project for the customer andfor the company.Personal integrity and courage to escalate issues about the project to management when necessary and to advocate for responsible solutions to projectproblems.Exceptional interpersonal skills; the ability to work well with people frommany different disciplines with varying degrees of technical experience;competence in clear, concise and tactful communication with senior management,clients, peers, and staff.Ability to build teams and generate a spirit of cooperation whilecoordinating diverse activities and groups; people management and negotiatingskills within a team environment.Ability to negotiate consensus amongst diverse groups and impact theactivities of others not in own reporting structure.Budget management skills; ability to analyze and review financing plans andrelated budgetary information to determine the impact on a project is required.Strong PC skills and expertise in MS-Office suite. Prefer MS-Project andVisio.Ability to effectively interact with all levels of managementTravel (If Applicable):Salary Range:$68,500 - $91,665This compensation range is specific to the job level and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to: education, experience, licensure, certifications, geographic location, and internal equity.
