Summary About the Position: Serves as Supply Technician for US Army Cadet Command, 2nd brigade. University of Connecticut Duty Station. Responsibilities Provides staff assistance in all areas of supply and logistics management for the Senior Reserve Officer Training Corps (SROTC) Program and affiliates within the Task Force structure. Implements and/or executes changes to regulations using Department of Army Form 4610-R, Tables of Distribution and Allowances (TDA) and Common Tables of Allowance (CTA) affecting Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC) supply. Forecasts, requests and manages the Operations and Maintenance, Army (OMA) and Military Personnel, Army (MPA) budgets for the host program and affiliates within the task force structure. Maintain the document register for supply actions, manage supply due-in reconciliations with requisition records, maintain inventory records and process adjustments In Accordance With (IAW) Army regulation. Issues and accounts for small arms and ammunition. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Ensures record management files are properly maintained; 2) Follow procedures to inspect supplies or equipment for discrepancies. 3) Operates automated word processing equipment with hardware and/or software components to prepare a variety of material including correspondence, forms, reports, etc.; AND 4) Maintains property book in accordance with applicable regulations. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service at the GS-6 level. Education Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. Additional Information Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration. You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship. One year trial/probationary period may be required. Direct Deposit of Pay is required.
