CHMC - ICU-Clinical Coordinator - Full-Time- Day Shift- 8a-5p-Requisition 7890 Pay range $44.94-$59.54 The clinical coordinator of Critical Care Services accepts the responsibility/accountability for quality patient care which is patient-centered, age appropriate, and based on evidenced-based healthcare. A clinical coordinator must demonstrate leadership ability, critical thinking skills, effective decision making, and offer manageability of multiple demands. The clinical coordinator must be willing to provide oversight and proficiency in the ICU and Emergency Department: both medical and mental health areas. The clinical coordinator job duties will entail assessment, evaluation, planning, directing and re-evaluating all activities pertaining to direct and indirect nursing care of all ED/ICU patients. The clinical coordinator must maintain knowledge and apply knowledge to DNV, NYSDOH, CMS and OMH rules and regulation. Other duties include staff scheduling, supervision, quality assurance, and disciplinary procedures. The clinical coordinator is expected to actively participate as a team member by performing additional assignments when workload requires within our department and as requested by the Critical Care Director. The clinical coordinator must work transparently with director to provide the upmost leadership to the ED and ICU. Education: Associates Degree in Nursing. Bachelor's Degree in Nursing Preferred License and certifications: ACLS and PALS required. ENPC/TNCC preferred. Completion of PMCS within six (6) months of hire. Successful completion of Critical Care course within one year of position start date. Valid New York State RN licensure. Training and Experience: Required: Five (5) years of clinical experience as a registered nurse; preferably with one (1) year in the critical care setting Preferably mental health crisis experience Knowledge of hospital policies, procedures, standards of care, hospital systems organization, and medical equipment used in a assigned area Proficient written and verbal skills to conduct in-services, perform patient teaching, and assist in writing policies, procedures, and standards Basic computer knowledge skills Maintaining patient confidentiality Knowledge of DNV, NYS DOH, CMS, and OMH regulations preferred The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for successful applicants. It may be modified in the future. Pay is determined by factors including experience, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.
