Come make a difference at Ochsner Health and discover your future today Duties & Responsibilities: Coordinates the activity and day-to-day operations of Security Officers on assigned shift. Supervises and leads Security Sergeant and Security Officers on assigned shift. Provides guidance and leadership to Security Sergeants and Officers regarding departmental issues including enforcement of policies and procedures, and security services provided. Evaluates incidents of a serious security or sensitive nature and takes appropriate action, including response and notifications; advises Security Captain of all notable incidents. Completes security audits quarterly or as assigned in a timely manner according to guidelines. Ensures all security reports are complete and correct within established time frame. Supports leadership in emergency response and related preparedness drills. Maintains required annual certifications and completes training requirements within required time periods. Oversees scheduling of personnel to avoid overtime not approved by Security Director. Adapts behavior to the specific patient population, including but not limited to respect for privacy, method of introduction to the patient, adapting explanation of services or procedures to be performed, requesting permissions and communication style. Performs other related duties as required.
