Description Job Summary: The AmeriCorps Coordinator oversees all aspects of a portfolio of AmeriCorps members and sites. The Coordinator's primary responsibilities will include recruiting, training, placing and overseeing 10 to 50 members in their caseload. Additionally the Coordinator will case manage, document and report on all aspects of the activities of the members, their host site agencies and all aspects of program operation as needed. This position will help coordinate Goodwill NNE AmeriCorps programs across ME and NH as needed. Learn more about the GoodwillNNE AmeriCorps programs at Communicates regularly with the AmeriCorps Program Managers and other appropriate staff about program operations, needs and issues. Represents AmeriCorps at State Staff Council, VolunteerNH meetings, VolunteerME meetings and other regional and national meetings as required. Recruits, interviews, selects and provides orientation for AmeriCorps Members with assistance from placement sites and other staff. This includes recruiting full-time stipend Members, and un-stipend Members. Actively participates in working groups to support initiatives across all programs such as the Recruitment, Communications or Training group. Represents the Agency in all interactions with other members of the Goodwill community and with the general public, supporting the agency Vision of creating sustainable communities that thrive through the fullest participation of their diverse residents. Furthers the organizational commitment to triple bottom line results: integrating social, economic and environmental goals into thinking, planning and actions. Facilitate a working group within the Goodwill AmeriCorps team. Work Location: Primarily mobile with regular in-person meetings and travel throughout New Hampshire and Maine. The Coordinator should be prepared to spend much of their work time working from home and the GoodwillNNE office on Lancaster St in Portland. Minimum Requirements: 2 years of work or volunteer experience in business, human services, education, or workforce industry High School Diploma or Equivalency One year experience with AmeriCorps or other forms of national or international service as a staff person and/or enrolled member Knowledge of and ability to learn web-based data-based applications Excellent time management and negotiation, conflict management, organization skills Must be able to travel as required to worksites and training locations Knowledge of recruitment, selection, supervision and disciplinary practices Criminal background check that meets Agency and AmeriCorps standards Preferred Qualifications: 2+ years experience in AmeriCorps or related fields.
