We are seeking a Senior Revit BIM Designer that has experience managing BIM Models and BIM processes used in project designs. Candidate must have a strong understanding how a BIM project evolves from concept through construction and how the different discipline designs interact throughout the life cycle of the project. This individual will be expected to work with designers, Engineers and Architects, project managers and business/operation leadership. The candidate must have excellent leadership and communication skills. They will be expected to effectively interact with clients, both internal and external. Some travel will be required.Specifically the candidate will be expected to:Develop and oversee the production of the project BIM model to meet the required BIM Uses including design document productionIndependently create and oversee development of the model under broad direction from the project team or Project ManagerComplete projects with distinctive design features and requirementsTrain and mentor internal BIM staffDirect preparation of drawings by other BIM Technicians of lesser experience, or directly supervise BIM staff as neededWork with clients or contractor representatives using the BIM model for review purposesUnderstand various project needs and how technology can be applied to address those needs Prepare and deliver BIM presentations at meetings and conferences internally or externally to clients.Preferred Qualifications5 years architectural drafting experience on buildings/facilitiesManaged BIM Models and BIM processes on large projects.Direct experience working with multi-discipline project production teamsExperience on facilities and Site Civil design projectsExtensive knowledge of BIM, multi-discipline design development, construction documents, technical and engineering knowledge Ability to prepare drawings and detailsStrong computer skills using Revit and NavisworksExperience in Microsoft Office and OutlookAn attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a mustPrevious experience with an architectural/engineering or engineering consulting firmExperience and/or interest in sustainable design/LEED desired but not requiredExperience using Micro Station is desired but not requiredPreference given to local candidatesPrevious experience with an architectural/engineering or engineering consulting firmExperience and/or interest in sustainable design/LEED desired but not required#LI-EH1Required QualificationsTechnical degree or a combination of education and relevant experienceA minimum of 5 years digital design (BIM element authoring) and 5 years digital delivery (model management) experienceComprehensive understanding of all discipline relations and operations of building systems Advanced skillset of 3D design software and document management infrastructureAdvanced skillset of 3D Coordination toolsAdvanced skillset of Microsoft Office products and communication toolsFamiliar with industry standards and practices, along with discipline codes and specificationsFamiliar with basic automation and programming applications for efficienciesFamiliar with 3D design software add-ins and supporting applicationsFamiliar with content creation and management conceptsSuperior client service, communication, and presentation skills are essentialDemonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills to effectively serve as a first line of technical supportExcellent communication skills, attention to detail and leadership traits are essentialMust have strong organizational skills to establish priorities between technical support requests and project workMust be enthusiastic, energetic, and an excellent work ethicWhat We BelieveHDR is our company.
