Order#: NY1511415 Pastry Cook Full-time Seasonal Needed immediately until 12/31/2024 The Seasonal Assistant Pastry Cook will be responsible for assisting in the preparation of all breads, cakes, pies, muffins, plated desserts and pastries of all types in accordance with the standards of quality set by the Pastry Chef Responsibilities: Prepare all food items according to recipe standards. Maintain highest quality and appearance as expected in an upscale private country club environment. Responsible for assisting in plating and garnishing all banquet desserts to include setting up attractive buffets. Complete basic production necessary for finished dessert items. Keep all food rotated, dated and labeled. Follow correct food handling procedures. Wear gloves when handling food directly. Maintain a safe, organized and sanitary work area. Have knowledge of the operation of all equipment and maintain their cleanliness. Report irregularities and defects in equipment and machinery to the Pastry Chef. In the absence of the Pastry Chef, consult with Executive Sous Chef for any changes in Banquet event order sheets or any other special functions. Practice safety standards and report any unsafe conditions to the Pastry Chef. Must be well groomed with a professional appearance at all times. Must be able to kneel, bend, lift and stand long hours at a time. Arrives to work on time with a positive attitude Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent.
