Come join our team and leave your mark in the history of science and technology that benefits humanity We are in search of a Corporate Compliance Manager to ensure the highest legal and ethical standards of conduct in the operations of the company and effectively manage company risk. Compliance areas include international, federal, state, and local regulations (non-financial/HR), export, government contracts (non-financial). This individual will function as the point of contact for federal, state, and local regulating authorities and agencies. Key Responsibilities: Initiate, develop, and maintain daily operations, and update policies for the general operation of the Export Compliance Program and due diligence activities Design, implement, and oversee a comprehensive compliance training program Conduct audits and observational assessments to identify potential areas of compliance vulnerability and risk. Develop and execute action plans to address and resolve identified issues Oversee and manage compliance requirements for vendors and third parties that interact with the company Contract Review - review and ensure contract requirements align with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FARs) and Defense FARs (DFARs); review, edit, and annotate Contracts, Agreements, and other relevant documents; Assess customer and supplier terms and conditions for compliance Manage customer regulatory inquiries and certifications. Coordinate with other departments to implement effective tracking and reporting methodologies, and review and update material compliance with RoHS requirements Prepare and submit government reports, applications, filings, and questionnaires. Provide or coordinate the completion of customer questionnaires, representations, certifications, and census requests Draft and update company policies based on input from subject matter experts and policy owners to ensure alignment with legal and regulatory requirements and business needs. Partner with HR to ensure that policies and procedures are implemented effectively across the organization. Monitor adherence and take corrective actions if non-compliance is detected Oversee the preparation and submission of grant applications, ensuring compliance with all relevant guidelines and regulations. Ensure that grant proposals align with organizational goals and regulatory requirements Qualifications: Bachelor's degree (business, law or related discipline preferred) 5+ years of experience in a compliance role, preferably in a technical environment Strong familiarity with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FARs), Defense FARs (DFARs), RoHS, REACH, Conflict Minerals preferred Professional certification (e.g. Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional (CCEP)) preferred Proficient computer skills with advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Lake Shore offers a work-life balance with challenging assignments, a focus on health and wellness, social activities, and community outreach.
