To learn more about Mission Technologies, click here for a short video: Come join HII Where Hard Stuff is done right HII Unmanned Systems is seeking an experienced Technician to come join our team As our new Technician you will manufacture and test various levels of electro mechanical assemblies aligning to autonomous vehicles and auxiliary equipment per drawing specifications. Your duties and responsibilities include the following: Perform integration, assembly, and test of new systems vehicles and auxiliary equipment from work instructions and assembly drawings Perform testing and troubleshooting with engineering and software development in order to identify and correct system level problems with vehicles and auxiliary equipment Must be able to read and understand diagnostic data Must be able to read and understand Technical schematics Must be able to setup and use test equipment including oscilloscopes, signal generators, and other input/output electronic test equipment Must be familiar with general computer operation Must be able to perform basic soldering Performs diversified duties to troubleshoot PWBA's, Assemblies and Modules Troubleshoot complex Analog and Digital circuits to the component level Make recommendations to improve current procedures and assist Manufacturing Engineering in implementing new procedures Work within limits of prescribed procedures to produce a sufficient quantity of working PWBA's, Assemblies or Modules to support the Master Production Schedule Discuss technical problems encountered while troubleshooting or testing with Engineering What you will be doing Performs a variety of duties in the electronic, mechanical, electromechanical, and/or optical areas. Constructs, troubleshoots, calibrates, adjusts, tests, diagnoses, and maintains equipment, components, devices, or systems. Works from schematics, engineering drawings and written or verbal instructions. Operates related equipment; conducts tests and reports data in prescribed format. Performs calibration and alignment checks; makes adjustments, modifications, and replacements as directed; prepares prescribed compounds and solutions. Exclude technicians working in production or quality assurance. What we are looking for Associates Degree or other 2 year technical degree in related discipline and 3 years of related experience; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 5 years related experience. Must be able to obtain and maintain a government clearance #LI-MH1 Bonus Points for J-STD soldering certification, or ability to obtain IPC 610 certification for the Acceptability of Electronic assemblies, or ability to obtain IPC 620 certification for Requirements and Acceptance for Cable and Wire Harness Assemblies, or ability to obtain Physical Requirements Most work is performed aboard ships or in industrial conditions. Shop, shipboard, warehouse, industrial environment. May be exposed to fumes and irritants including welding/burning fumes, paints, oils, greases and various cleaning solutions and solvents, noise, high heat and humidity hazards while wearing the required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
