We have an immediate opportunity for a Union Building Engineer supporting our client General Motors in Pontiac, MI. 2nd or 3rd shift positions. Pay $28.64/HR with free union benefits. Union dues will only cost you 2 hours of your pay a month As a Stationary Engineer, you will be responsible for the overall maintenance, operation, and cleaning associates. You will engage in monitoring system operations, equipment repair, predictive maintenance tasks, and responding to equipment needs as required. Manufacturing Process Equipment Chilled water systems Sub-freezing chiller systems Water tube boilers Fire tube boilers Cooling towers Air Compressors Compressed Air Dryers Zero Air systems Cooling tower and boiler water chemical treatment Mechanical Systems Diagnosis & Repair Steam traps DDC Control Valves Air actuators Piping systems PLC panels Vibration analysis Logging and Data Retention Logbook data entries Plant meter readings Trending equipment Compressed Air leak reports Building Systems Building Automation Systems Building Monitoring systems Building Utility & Piping Systems Safety Employee Safety Training Compliance Safety PM Completion Safety Repair Completion Participate in the Employee Safety Concern Process Utilize Pre-Task Planning Methods Performance Measurables Zero powerhouse downtime Help Desk Immediate Work Orders PM Completion Environmental PM Completion & Reporting PM Repair Completion Perform General Housekeeping in Common Work Areas Personnel Management Ensure compliance with the current Collective Bargaining Agreement Submit Employee PTO/Vacation Requests Maintain Current Fork Truck & Aerial Lift Operators' License Successful completion of Scheduled Training A high school diploma or GED 8+ years of facility maintenance experience including boiler and chiller maintenance (experience must be verifiable) Proficient in Microsoft Office CFC Universal required A Boiler Operators, Refrigeration Operators, or Stationary Engineers license required The ability to safely operate portable hand and power tools .
