Position Overview This is open for Contractor Conversions Only. Responsibilities Receives and manages time sensitive work order assignments Reads electrical diagrams and blueprints Installs new electrical circuits, panels, and transformers Runs and terminates ethernet data and phone lines Measures, bends, threads, connects, and hangs IMC and EMT conduit Troubleshoots and repairs production and non-production machines and equipment Troubleshoots and repairs motor control and drive systems, heating and cooling equipment, industrial control systems, and lighting and electrical systems Performs some metal fabrication Drives lift equipment and can work at heights up to 45' All other duties as assigned Minimum Requirements High School Diploma or GED At least three years of electrical commercial or industrial maintenance experience Must have active Electrical Journeyman license or greater for Oklahoma Additional Requirements Qualified candidates, excluding current Navistar employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States. Navistar does not anticipate providing employment related work sponsorship for this position (e.g., H-1B status) Physical Requirements (Ability to do the following up to 10 hours per day): Walk, stand, sit, bend, twist/turn, kneel, squat, crawl Climb using both legs and arms Head/neck movement Reach outward or above the shoulder Drive or operate equipment such as lifts and/or motor vehicles Lift, carry, push, or pull 15-45 pounds Repetitive use of hands and fingers, both hands Use of vibrating tools Depth perceptions required Ability to distinguish basic colors and shades of color Exposure to constant and intermittent noise, fumes, smoke and gases, solvents, paint, grease and oils, radiant energy, and slippery surfaces Work at heights up to 45' Must be able to observe/troubleshoot needed repairs of all types of manufacturing machines and equipment including paint automation equipment Knowledge of preventive maintenance. Ability to work efficiently and with a sense of urgency Ability to demonstrate overall safe work behavior, including the utilization of proper safety equipment and adhering to safety guidelines This position is safety sensitive and may involve the operation of vehicles, operation of equipment, and/or involve work with power tools, or handling of hazardous materials, that could result in injury or damage to person/property/manufacturing process Desired Skills Prefer three years' experience in troubleshooting, installing, and repairing: PLCs, metal fabrication equipment, welding equipment, heavy equipment, painting robotics equipment, and Ethernet IP Network Systems Experience using Microsoft Office. Possess a basic working knowledge and understanding of industrial electrical systems with the ability to use a Volt/Ohm Meter Basic knowledge of hand tools, ability to disassemble and reassemble using proper equipment Advanced knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components Advanced knowledge of industrial safety requirements related to hazardous, flammable, and explosive materials and environments Advanced knowledge of preventive maintenance Ability to work any shift including on-call and rotational weekend overtime Company Overview Navistar, Inc.
