Morgenthaler Professor of Entrepreneurship at the Tepper School of Business of Carnegie Mellon University (CMU) commencing September 1, 2023. The Morgenthaler chair was established to deepen and enrich the research, teaching and practice of entrepreneurship at the Tepper School. Pittsburgh is home to a vibrant entrepreneurship community well-connected with CMU. The University-wide Swartz Center for Entrepreneurship, established by a $30 million gift from CMU alum Jim Swartz, founder of Accel, is housed in the Tepper Quadrangle with the Tepper School. Qualifications The holder will be expected to demonstrate a major role in scholarship in areas overlapping with entrepreneurship, and have experience with the entrepreneurial ecosystem. Applicants at Tenured Associate or Full Professor level will be considered. The holder is expected to play a leading role in furthering the development of entrepreneurship at Tepper and CMU. Candidates that are cross disciplinary are particularly encouraged to apply. The search committee comprises of Brandy Aven (Organizational Theory, Strategy and Entrepreneurship), Peter Boatwright (Marketing), Dave Mawhinney (Entrepreneurship), Chester Spatt (Finance) and Sridhar Tayur (Operations Management, committee chair).
