Charlotte's Home for Black Women, Huntley House for Black and African American Men, CASA SOL for Latinx students, Tsev Hmoob for Hmong Students, and The Firsts for First-Generation Students. Responsibilities (10-12 hours per-week): Collaborate with the Assistant Director of Living Learning Communities to achieve LLC goals. Mentor and support five undergraduate LLC Peer Mentors, assisting with event planning, budget management, and student development initiatives. Allocate 3 hours per week to meet with LLC residents assigned to meet with the intern, providing guidance and support. Provide administrative support to maintain LLC records (e.g. databases, contact sheets, attendance sheets, program agendas,etc.) for the purpose of collecting and providing required information and/or documentation. Manage LLC rosters, track resident information, including GPA, attendance at MCAE events, and other relevant data. Maintain consistent communication with MCAE staff regarding student concerns, trends, and other pertinent information. Support the execution and evaluation of ALL-LLC engagement events, promoting student participation. Assist in connecting students with on-campus resources. Contribute to the recruitment, selection, onboarding, and training of peer mentors and student staff. Provide support for MCAE programs as needed (e.g., Celebration of Achievement, MCAE Kick-Off, Holistic Support programs). Ensure timely and organized completion of all administrative tasks, including emails, marketing, program requests, and student referrals. Work Hours: 10-12 per week Pay Rate: $25/hr. Qualifications REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree Must be a full-time Graduate or Doctoral Student during the current Academic Year Must be in good academic and conduct standing with the college of enrollment Organized, reliable and with strong attention to detail Proven experience in group facilitation Demonstrated ability to develop and implement education programs Available for occasional evening and weekend events and demonstrate flexibility and agility with changing priorities, especially on event days About the Department The MCAE Living Learning Communities (LLCs) offer a unique opportunity for students to engage within their identity-based communities while fostering cross-cultural connections and receiving intentional academic support.
