The starting salary for new State of Iowa Judicial employees is expected to be at the base of the pay range. The pay range is $52,561.60 to $83, 803.20. To obtain a copy of the branches EEOP Utilization Report, please visit The responsibilities for this position include: Handling matters pertaining to delinquent youth, pursuant to Iowa Code Chapter 232, including intake, diversion, supervision, and prevention activities. Making recommendations to the Court regarding detention and custody, conducts pre-dispositional investigations, prepares reports to the court, testifies in court about dispositional and other recommendations, incorporates evidenced based practices into daily work, supervises probation, motivates youth and families and engages them in then change process, coordinates and monitors services provided by various agencies to juvenile clients. Responsible for responding to emergency matters outside of normal working hours. Serves as a peace officer during the performance of his/her duties. Minimum Qualification Requirements Bachelor's degree from a four - year college or university in law, criminal justice, criminology, sociology or related social sciences.
