If so, then you are the perfect addition to our team Sixth Judicial District Court Administration (based in Linn County but travel to all D6 Counties is required) has an immediate opening for a Judicial Specialist 2. Responsibilities of this position include clerical support for District Judges in addition to being a backup interpreter coordinator. Responsibilities of this position include providing clerical support for District Judges; troubleshoot, operate, and monitor electronic recording equipment in the courtroom when recording court events; and being a backup for the interpreter coordinator. Travel to other counties in the district (including Johnson, Iowa, Jones, Benton, and Tama Counties) is required. Minimum Qualification Requirements Graduation from an accredited high school (or High School Equivalency) and two (2) years of successful completion of accredited post high school education in business, paralegal, computer, legal assistant or related program. Two (2) years of professional office experience in business, court or legal work or a related area with one (1) year of the experience involving customer service. At the discretion of the appointing authority additional years of experience may be substituted for the required post high school education. Or, the successful completion of additional years of education (i.e., Bachelor's Degree) may be substituted for years of experience on the basis that successful completion of thirty (30) semester hours or academic equivalent equals one year of experience.
