JOB DESCRIPTION Position Type : Full time Type Of Hire : Experienced (relevant combo of work and education) Education Desired : Bachelor of Journalism Travel Percentage : 1 - 5%Job DescriptionROLE SUMMARYLeads the Public Relations function for the FIS business vertical serving merchant-heavy industries including Retail, Restaurant, Gaming, Entertainment and Travel. Reporting to FIS' Vice President of Public Relations, this position is responsible for driving interest and amplifying the FIS brand in these industries through the development and execution of creative, innovative public relations programs and campaigns worldwide. This position will manage a centralized, global team of approximately four public relations professionals. The successful candidate must bring a proven storyteller mindset and innovative media engagement leadership to drive positive media coverage of FIS' vision, scale, expertise, innovation, solutions and client successes within these merchant-heavy industries.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESLead a global team of PR professionals to deliver measurable media coverage in support of the company's marketing and business objectives across the Retail, Restaurant, Gaming, Entertainment and Travel industries.Foster the creation and execution of creative, multi-faceted PR campaigns and programs leveraging traditional, social and digital media tactics to amplify company business-level storylines supporting the FIS corporate brand and Worldpay from FIS product brand.Collaborate with marketing and business leaders to develop and execute PR storylines that drive new or align with current media interests within these merchant-heavy industries.Ability to analyze and transform marketing and sales-heaving messaging into stories that drive strong media interest.Leverage data-driven insights to measure storyline, tactic and overall campaign impact and adjust real time as needed to drive success.Engage with a network of global agency partners to deliver corporate and regional coverage in support of strategic and business-unit goals.Leads regular staff and agency update meetings.QUALIFICATIONS10+ years public relations experience, ideally with digital, social and corporate communications expertiseDirect experience in payments industry PR.Direct B2B experience, B2B2C experience preferredDemonstrated ability to develop narratives and build scalable communication programsExpert media relations skills with a well-developed network of relationships with top-tier business and trade press.Proven ability to build strong, collaborative relationships with your team, peers, internal business and marketing leadersProven ability to develop and coach team members to develop strong media storylines and innovative programsExpert writing and storytelling skills and a strong track record of developing and editing for jargon-free written contentBachelor's degree in business, journalism, public relations, communications or related field.Location:Eastern seaboard: NYC/tri-state area, PA, Boston MA, FL, Chicago, GAWhat we offer you:A multifaceted job with a high degree of responsibility and a broad spectrum of opportunitiesA modern, international work environment and a dedicated and motivated teamThe chance to work on some of the most challenging, relevant issues in financial services & technologyA work environment built on collaboration, flexibility and respectA fantastic range of benefits including private medical cover, dental cover and travel insurance.Vaccination RequirementsAll employees must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 on or before December 31, 2021.
