The Finance Division reports to the Chief Financial Officer and consists of some 3,000 employees worldwide. Finance protects the Morgan Stanley franchise by serving as guardian of the Firms books and records, and by contributing to firmwide risk management and risk reduction. This division maintains relationships with Morgan Stanley's various industry and government regulators and serves as the conduit of financial information to the outside investment community. Finance plays a critical role as advisor to Morgan Stanley's various businesses and its senior management team. Global Corporate Controllers (GCC) is responsible for overseeing the accounting, financial and regulatory reporting for the Firm. GCC prepares external financial reports for public filings and regulators. For internal reporting, GCC along with Business Unit Controllers and Financial Planning and Analysis, summarizes, plans and forecasts the organizations financial position, including income statement, balance sheet and analyses of future revenues, expenses and earnings. We are currently seeking an Associate on the capital attribution, reporting and analysis team. The candidate will have regular interaction with various teams across the global Finance, Risk, Legal, Technology, and Business Units. _Responsibilities Include:_ Support the attribution and reporting of various capital metrics including risk-based and leverage-based exposure Support the coordination of the annual Comprehensive Capital Analysis and Review (CCAR) and Quarterly Stress Testing (QST) forecasting, including presentation in the senior management forums Produce weekly and monthly firmwide reporting including Management Committee and Asset and Liability Committee (ALCO) materials Support large transaction tracking, notification and approval process as well as New Product Approval (NPA) reviews Partner with Technology to renovate data and infrastructure to meet future regulatory rules and reporting requirements under Basel III Endgame Support various stakeholders by providing capital rule education, impact assessment of new trades/products, innovative capital management strategies, data driven analysis, capital reporting, and ad-hoc requests Drive various aspects of the Basel III Endgame program implementation to ensure timely compliance of proposed revisions Support the ongoing development of business unit capital usage model including proposed changes to the model or business strategy Liaise with Regulatory Policy on capital rules and disclosure interpretations Support regulatory, external, and internal audit requests _Qualifications - External:_ Qualified Financial Controller with 2 years of general financial controller experience Regulatory Capital knowledge preferred Evidence of working closely with other Finance functions and an ability to develop good working relationships both locally and in other locations Proven ability to initiate and enhance the control framework for Finance functions Proven leadership ability in resolving issues and implementing initiatives Strong analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail Excellent verbal and written communication skills and effective interpersonal skills Ability to work in a team-oriented environment Ability to transform processes to drive efficiency and effectiveness BS/BA in Accounting or Finance is preferred Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $80,000 and $115,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
